Ready to get started? Below are the general requirements for admission to MTC. All applicants must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Submit a completed application for admission
- Pay a nonrefundable $20 application fee
- Submit an official copy of your high school transcripts or GED test scores and any other postsecondary transcripts
- Complete the ASSET placement exam offered by MTC or submit satisfactory SAT, ACT, COMPASS, or CPE scores — if taken within the past 5 years
- Complete and submit all financial aid information
Application Instructions
- Complete this online application. After you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column of the application and follow the directions.
- Sign and send the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the completed online application to the admissions office.
- Make arrangements for official transcripts from all high schools and/or colleges attended and test scores to be sent to the admissions office.
- Make arrangements for official test score reports to be sent to the admissions office.
Admissions Policies
Admission to MTC is not a guarantee of admission to a degree/diploma/certificate program. The admissions process encourages students to enter degree/diploma/certificate programs in which they have a reasonable expectation of success.
Credentials submitted become and remain the property of MTC and will not be returned to the applicant, duplicated, nor transferred to another institution.
Admission to specific programs requires that applicants have adequate educational preparation, as measured by satisfactory entrance assessment scores and prerequisite assessment, and/or evaluation of admission information indicate that an applicant is not prepared to enter a particular program; the applicant will be offered the appropriate course(s) to provide the needed preparation. Information on entrance standards required for each program may be obtained in the Office of Student Services.

Instructions
To complete this online application, type your answers in the corresponding fields or select your answers from the popup lists (where applicable).
After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be reentered prior to submittal.
Once you have completed the application, click the SUBMIT button located on the left column to submit the application.
