Scholarships Based on Merit

The State of Georgia encourages academic achievement and access to college by providing the largest merit-based scholarship program in the nation. For seven straight years, Georgia's HOPE Scholarship program has made Georgia "No. 1" in terms of the number of students assisted and the total dollars awarded each year. Information on HOPE and other scholarship programs administered by the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) is provided here.
