Public Safety Memorial GrantProgram TypeNon-Need Based Grant PurposeTo assist the dependent children of Georgia law enforcement officers, firefighters, prison guards, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty by providing grant funds toward the cost of attendance at eligible public colleges, universities, or technical colleges in Georgia. ValueRecipients receive an award that covers their total cost of attendance at an eligible public postsecondary institution, minus other student financial aid. Student must be an undergraduate. Application ProcedureIf you believe you are eligible to receive the Public Safety Memorial Grant (PSMG), the following information will assist you:
To renew a PSMG, please contact the Financial Aid Office at the college you are attending. Other InformationRecipients are eligible to receive payment for a maximum of eight semesters or 12 quarters of undergraduate study.
