The purpose of the Athens Technical College libraries is to facilitate the learning and research of its students and faculty. The main library on the Athens campus, and the branch library on the Elberton campus provide faculty and students with research opportunities utilizing a variety of resources. As information delivery changes with technological advancements, the ATC libraries attempt to meet the information needs of the campus communities with cutting-edge equipment and delivery systems. |

nonremedial tutoring, The Academic Support Center (ASC) is a tutoring center designed to assist students in achieving their maximum level of performance in their coursework. The center is open and provides assistance free of charge to Athens Tech students. The ASC provides assistance in many areas: including Accounting, English, Math, Science, and Speech. Additionally, the center currently has 18 computers with numerous computerized tutorials available for student use. A number of video tutorials are available as well.
The Academic Support Center is located in suite L131 and L133 (next to the Library). Our hours of operation are:
Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Friday 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturdays 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The Organized Black Students Encouraging Unity and Excellence (OBSEUE) organization is open to all students to encourage academic excellence among the student body; to provide tutorial programs for those who need the assistance; to work for the betterment of relationships between the student body, school, and community; to encourage unity; and to be available as a support group for students. The International Club is open to all students. The club was developed as a means to introduce students to multicultural activities that take place on campus. |

Student Advisory Council
Students do not serve on the governing board of the institution, its Board of Directors, or program advisory committees. Their role in decision- making is an advisory one that is accomplished through the Athens Tech Student Advisory Council (ATSAC). ATSAC is made up of representatives from each academic program. Members sponsor various annual events and manage community service and institutional improvement projects. Students interested in serving on the council should contact their advisor.
Students are encouraged to participate in campus organizations to build leadership and service capabilities and further their professional development. Student organizations exist to offer opportunities for fellowship, in-field or related educational programs, stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence and continuing education, field trips, and local and state competition.
The Phi Theta Kappa honor society recognizes and encourages scholarship among associate degree students. National Technical Honor Society is open to students in both the associate degree and diploma programs. A chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma was established to foster academic excellence among students enrolled specifically in business curricula. Program-related organizations include Delta Epsilon Chi for students in Marketing; Collegiate Secretaries International; Practical Nurses Association; Radiography Society; Future Cosmetologists of America; Automotive Club; and the Student Paralegal Association.
